Experiment 17: The Minirocket Car
How do you capture the power of a Coke and Mentos Gyser? It’s easy! And once you harness that power, you can send a minirocket car down the road 100 feet.

Everything you need to build your own minirocket car can be found at your local hardware store, Home Depot, or Lowe’s. The total cost should be less than twenty dollars, and the project only requires simple tools. That said, consider buying extras of all the supplies. Not only will you want to race the car multiple times, but nothing more fun than making several different cars and racing them against each other!

Get all the details on how to do this yourself in our book, How to Build a Hovercraft.
